Erythromma viridulum (Charpentier, 1840) – Small Redeye
NL: Kleine roodoogjuffer | UK: Small Red-eyed Damselfly | DE: Kleines Granatauge | FR: Naïade au corps vert

Erythromma viridulum (Small Redeye) is a mainly south-west European damselfly species that has extended its original geographical range to the north in recent decades. It’s still absent in most of the UK and most of Scandinavia.
Small Redeyes are often found on the same locations as Large Redeyes (Erythromma najas) but prefer submersed vegetation with a finer leaf structure, like hornworts (Ceratophyllum sp.)
