Lestes barbarus (Fabricius, 1798) – Migrant Spreadwing
NL: Zwervende pantserjuffer | UK: Southern Emerald Damselfly | DE: Südliche Binsenjungfer | FR: Leste sauvage

Lestes barbarus (Migrant Spreadwing or by the UK name: Southern Emerald Damselfly) is a migrant species that has in recent decades expanded its original Mediterranean range to the north and east and is now pretty common in most of Europe and east to northern China. More than other spreadwings it prefers waters in early stage of succession or waters that dry up in summer.
