Platycnemis dealbata Selys, 1850 – Ivory Featherleg

Ivory Featherleg is a species native to central Asia with emphasis on the Levant. Its area of distribution is roughly bordered by the Turkish Göksu river in the west, Pakistan in the east and the Kaukasus mountain range in the north.
Even more than other species in the genus Platycnemis, Ivory Featherlegs are characterized by the possession of greatly widened tibiae.
