Caliaeschna microstigma (Schneider, 1845) – Eastern Spectre
NL: Schaduwlibel | DE: Schattenlibelle | FR: ?

Caliaeschna microstigma (Eastern Spectre) is a small Aeshnid native to the Balkan Peninsula and east to northern Iran. It can be found on swiftly flowing streams and rivers that are largely shaded. Many individuals avoid the worst heat of the day by hiding in deep shade underneath bridges, overhanging rocks or tree branches. They’re most active at the end of the day.
