Cordulegaster picta (Turkish Goldenring) occurs in north-east Greece, south-east Bulgaria, Turkey and the Caucasus. Turkish Goldenrings breed in shallow, shaded brooks and streams but imagos are often seen hunting in full sunlight, above roads near the reproduction habitat.
