Gomphus pulchellus Selys, 1840 – Western Clubtail

Gomphus pulchellus (Western Clubtail) is endemic to Europe. Its range covers western Europe and Iberia, where it inhabits slow flowing and standing waters. Compared to the other Gomphus species the black markings on the thorax are narrower and the abdomen is barely club-shaped even in males.
