Waved Pincertail (Onychogomphus flexuosus) is a small but elegant looking Gomphid. It inhabits rivers in central Asia, from south-west Turkey east to Syria, Iran, Iraq and northward to the Kaukasus and southern Russia. Within this area, look for Waved Pincertails on partly dry river beds covered with cobble stones.
The common name refers to the shape of the male’s lower appendage.
