Stylurus flavipes (Charpentier, 1825) – River Clubtail
NL: Rivierrombout | DE: Asiatische Keiljungfer | FR: Gomphe à pattes jaunes

As the vernacular name indicates the River Clubtail (Stylurus flavipes) inhabits medium to large rivers. Of the European clubtail species, River Clubtail has the largest geographical range, stretching from France to eastern Siberia. Until recently River Clubtail was considered a Gomphus species but analysis of DNA has recently proven the theory correct that they’re closer related to North-American Stylurus species than to any species in the genus Gomphus.
